Photographing Quilts

Gregory Case's links to two PDFs on quilt photography.

The Fiberarts Connection of Southern California has a great page on photographing your work. More a style guide (eschew annoying backgrounds, keep the cat out of the frame, what color backdrop to use), this site links to other more technical pages on camera settings and studio photography, including Van's excellent How to make a low budget studio

Some General Links on Photographing Art Work

Photographing Your Art By Ralph Russo, Gallery Director and Art Advisor at the Wisconsin Union Galleries, University of Wisconsin-Madison. Wow--do I like this one! It's clearly written, though with no illustrations, and is a good basic guide that outlines lighting, film, and other essentials of slide photography. The nice thing about this guy is that his page outlines a really simple setup--great for those of us who can't afford a professional photography setup.

Tips On How To Successfully Photograph Your Own Artwork - A Last Resort from the Artists Register. Includes a brief description of bracketing exposures.

Better Photo.com's page on \"How to Photograph your Paintings\" is valuable for its coverage of digital imaging.
